Running!
IridiumLINCH-SK After a thorough investigation, my pal and I made the resolution on the flight.
Our flight resolution was to depart from respective cities on 26 Jul. and meet at Xiamen. After that we were flying to Singapore in the same flight.
My pal boarded the plane from Dalian to Xiamen at about 14:00, 26 Jul.
When booking tickets, he would be arriving at Xiamen at 21:30 approx., just the time I was taking off from Beijing. But on 24 Jul., he received the information about his flight adjustment: He would take off at 14:15, and fall at 19:25, anticipated. He was waiting for me longer at Xiamen.
It was about 17:00 on 27 Jul., I had my dinner, checked everything for the last time and started off.
I lived with my parents and my grandparents lived in a nearby community. They were determined to see me off, so my dad just drove out of the underground parking lot, picked up my grandparents and went to PKX.
I live in the southeast of Beijing, so the car entered South 6th Ring road, transferred to Daxing Airport Express and arrived at PKX.
This was my first departure from PKX.
Parking site found, I got off the car and entered the terminal. My parents and grandparents followed and I thought it was quite unnecessary.
Check-in, print the embarkation pass and check baggages. The staff asked me whether I'm checking my baggage directly to Singapore. I hesitated for whether taking out my Quantum Electrodynamics, Landau Theoretical Physics Tutorial to read during my trip. Finally I gave up and I wasn't picking baggages at Xiamen.
There was no way for my parents and grandparents to follow. I just entered the security check. After that I saw the China Flag at the center of the PKX Terminal. I took some photo for QQ Shuoshuo and got likes below 100, quite annoying. The screenshot will be not displayed, for saving the data of my Singapore mobile phone.
I read slices of Introductory Advanced Organic Chemistry taught by Fu Niankai when waiting. Feeling quite sorry to Dr. Fu for not understanding the course.
Board, and take off!
There was no way for me to look at scenes outwindow. I failed to fall asleep, too. I read some Journey to the West and An Introduction to Quantum Field Theory by Peskin, only to find I'm failing to solve the questions.
It was anticipated that the flight was landing at 0:20. But it actually landed at 23:49. The plane stopped at an open place and no bridge connected to the terminal. I was transported to the terminal by a bus.
I went to the baggage collection and remembered that I didn't have any to pick. So I went out and met my pal who arrived quite early. We registered for accommodation and found it was outside the airport.
We went to the assigned hotel by taxi. The taxi driver was driving quite wildly.
I planned with my pal after arrival at hotel. We just took a shower and brushed teeth then slept. The shower was quite necessary because I may not fall asleep without it.
Awake, checked out, we were about to back the airport but no queueing taxis in our imagination. My pal hailed a car online on the spot. And we were back at XMN.
Going abroad travelers were to submit their health conditions. A tag would be sticked on your clothes after completing that. Quite interesting.
We found the check-in site but I thought it was only about checking baggages. We forgot to print embarkation pass and tried to pass the custom directly. When we were to pass the custom, I were informed to print Embarkation pass downstairs. And we hurried to print. There were a lot of Taiwanese travelers holding "Republic of China" passport, making me disturbed.
Repass the custom and take security check. We didn't wait long at the boarding gate because of the long delay caused by checking-in. We saw the queue were forming and we joined the queue. It didn't take us much time to board. Just at the gate, my anti-particle mask with breathing valve was pointed out not valid. My pal lent me a KN95 mask and I changed it on the bridge.
It was set to depart at 9:35, but took off at 10:05, actually.
Because I only slept for 5 hours at Xiamen. I was too sleepy to read, even keep my eyes open, on the plane.
It was anticipated to land at 14:05, but 13:46 actually. I have to say the two flights were quite nice.
Go out the custom before picking baggages. The baggage belt was stucked once. It was quite easy to recognize mine but not for him because his only arrived a few days ago. It took him a long time to recognize.
We asked several staffs and knew that the TraceTogether(Something similar to Beijing Jiankangbao) was about to be abondoned. That was why I failed to log in.
I bought SIM card (60 SGD, valid for 3 months, 2 GB data per day, expire when used out every day and recover the next day) and Transportation card (10 SGD, only 5 SGD inside when I used for the first time) at Changi airport. After that we found the taxi exit.
The driver is a Chinese. On the way to Hostel, I chatted with my friend, calling him looks like Suga Yoshihide.
I hadn't noticed that Singapore is a left-hand country until we left the airport. Hence, the cars are right hand drive.
The taxi was available for Alipay, quite interesting.
The hostel was bad equipped. Only mattress on the bed. The sheet I was reluctantly taking was now using. The WiFi was bad too. Only SIM Data was available.
However the hostel provided an electromagnetic stove and a microwave oven. That's good, we could cook by ourselves.
We took a shower. There was no shampoo or shower gel. I had to use hot water to get rid of the sweat. The residual hot water immediately turned into sweat when I came out of the shower room. Feeling even worse after showering.
A series of purchasing shall be conducted from tomorrow on.
I borrowed some washing powder from my neighbour and asked them where are the markets. They pointed us a supermarket and we consecutively visited there.
The neighbours were Malaysian Chinese. They were at NTU, which is farther than NUS. The commuting experience told me that as a NTU student, it was not good to live here.
The very first night at Singapore was just over.
The Floors without images are sent from Hostel; otherwise they were released from NUS.
问了机场好几位工作人员,发现在新加坡TraceTogether(类似于健康宝的东西)已经几乎停用了,难怪当初登不上。
